What is the Biblical Meaning of Grace?

Grace means that once you are saved, you are saved forever (John 3:16John 10:28-29). The Holy Spirit comes to live within you (John 14:20, Galatians 2:20, Colossians 1:27). You are completely forgiven because Jesus took away your sins once and for all (Hebrews 9:28). God is not counting your sins against you (2 Corinthians 5:19) and remembers your sins no more (Hebrews 8:12). Your name has been written in the Book of Life, and you will avoid God's coming wrath (Revelation 20:6, Revelation 20:11-15). The gift of eternal life to you is irrevocable (Romans 11:29). God has promised to never leave you once he live inside of you (Hebrews 13:5).

Grace does not mean once you are saved, you can lose your salvation, and the Holy Spirit departs from you. That would be conditional grace, which is no grace at all (Galatians 1:6-7, 2 Corinthians 11:3-4 ). That would be temporal life, not eternal life.

Grace also means that because Jesus took away all your sins, you are 100% forgiven by God (Colossians 2:13-141 John 2:12). This includes your past sins, your present sins and your futures sins.

Grace does not mean that after every sin, you need to confess your sins to God in order to receive God's forgiveness, and use 1 John 1:9 as a "Christian bar of soap" (See "What Does 1 John 1:9 Mean"). Rather, it is through the death of Jesus on the cross 2022 years ago, not your confession, that God is not counting your sins against you (2 Corinthians 5:18-19).

What then teaches us to say no to sin? It's the grace of God that teaches us to say no to sin (Titus 2:11-12). What else teaches us to say no to sin? Learning through the Spirit that everything is permissible, but not everything is profitable (1 Corinthians 10:23).

This is the real grace of God that you have dreamed about and the type of grace, which God wants you to grow in to (2 Peter 3:18-19). It's real grace and once you find it, your mind will be renewed (Romans 12:2) and you will never look back at your old way of thinking.

Believe it and be happy!
